Banana VPN Privacy Policy

Banana VPN respects user privacy and is designed to provide secure VPN connectivity without using personal information for advertising tracking.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Banana VPN collects, why it is collected, how it is used, when it may be shared, and the choices available to users.
It applies to Banana VPN applications, websites, VPN services, customer portals, support systems, and related services.
1. Our Privacy Principles
Banana VPN follows these principles:
We collect information needed to operate accounts, subscriptions, devices, VPN access, security, and support.
We do not sell personal information.
We do not use personal information for third-party advertising.
We do not use personal information for cross-app or cross-site tracking.
We do not use advertising networks to build advertising profiles from Banana VPN activity.
We do not collect payment-card details when payment is completed entirely through Apple In-App Purchase.
We do not intentionally retain users' browsing history or the contents of VPN traffic.
2. Information We Collect
Name
If you provide a name in your account or profile, we may collect it.
Purpose: App Functionality.
Your name may be associated with your Banana VPN account.
We do not use names for advertising or tracking.
Email Address
We collect your email address when required for registration, authentication, account recovery, subscription management, service communications, or customer support.
Purpose: App Functionality.
Your email address is linked to your account.
We do not use email addresses for cross-app tracking, third-party advertising, or sale to data brokers.
User ID and Account Identifiers
Banana VPN assigns or processes account-level identifiers used to recognize your account and provide the Service.
These may include internal customer IDs, subscription-account IDs, or similar identifiers.
Purpose: App Functionality.
User identifiers may be linked to your account.
They are not used for advertising tracking.
Device and Installation Identifiers
Banana VPN may collect an installation identifier, device-level service identifier, push-notification token, operating-system information, app version, or similar technical identifier needed to operate the Service.
These identifiers may be associated with your Banana VPN account.
They may be used to:
authenticate devices;
maintain sessions;
provide push notifications;
enforce device limits;
protect accounts;
prevent fraud and abuse;
troubleshoot service problems; and
provide VPN functionality.
Purpose: App Functionality.
We do not use these identifiers to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
Purchases and Subscription Information
When you purchase a Banana VPN subscription, we may receive information necessary to confirm and administer that subscription.
This may include:
subscription plan;
product identifier;
transaction identifier;
purchase status;
renewal status;
expiration date;
store or platform;
entitlement status; and
other purchase-verification information.
For Apple purchases, Apple processes the actual payment information.
Banana VPN does not receive your complete payment-card number or bank-account information from Apple.
Purpose: App Functionality.
Purchase information may be linked to your Banana VPN account so that we can activate and maintain the service you purchased.
Product Interaction
We may collect information about interactions necessary to operate the Service, such as:
app launches;
login and logout activity;
connection and disconnection events;
selected VPN server;
feature interaction;
subscription-management actions; and
service-status events.
This information is used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain Banana VPN.
It is not used for advertising tracking.
Other Usage Data
Operational usage information may include information reasonably necessary to administer the VPN service, such as:
connection status;
session timestamps;
session duration;
server selection;
protocol information;
connection success or failure;
account connection counts;
app version;
operating-system information; and
technical service events.
Such information is used for App Functionality, security, capacity management, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
Customer Support
When you contact Banana VPN support, we collect the information you voluntarily provide in the support request.
This may include your email address, account information, messages, troubleshooting details, screenshots, or files you choose to submit.
Support information is used only as reasonably necessary to investigate and respond to the request and maintain the security and functionality of the Service.
3. VPN Traffic and Browsing Activity
When a VPN connection is active, network traffic must technically pass through the VPN infrastructure in order for the VPN service to function.
Banana VPN does not intentionally collect or retain a history of websites you visit, the content of your internet communications, or the content of your browsing traffic for advertising, profiling, or tracking purposes.
We do not sell or monetize VPN browsing activity.
Network information that must be processed temporarily to transmit a request is used to provide the VPN connection.
Operational or security information may be processed where reasonably necessary to maintain the Service, prevent abuse, investigate attacks, or comply with law, but Banana VPN does not use such information to build advertising profiles.
4. Information We Do Not Collect for App-Privacy Purposes
Based on the current Banana VPN functionality, we do not collect the following as part of ordinary app functionality:
payment-card or bank-account details for Apple In-App Purchases;
health or fitness information;
phone contacts or address-book contents;
photos or videos;
audio recordings;
precise GPS location;
coarse device location;
advertising data;
biometric body information;
health records; or
sensitive demographic information.
If you voluntarily include otherwise sensitive information in a customer-support message, we may necessarily receive the information you chose to submit.
5. No Advertising Tracking
Banana VPN does not use collected account information for tracking users across applications or websites owned by other companies.
We do not use your:
name;
email address;
user ID;
device identifier;
purchase history; or
VPN usage information
for third-party targeted advertising or advertising measurement.
We do not sell these data categories to data brokers.
6. How We Use Information
We use collected information for legitimate service functions including:
creating and authenticating accounts;
providing VPN access;
selecting and connecting to VPN servers;
determining subscription entitlement;
restoring purchases;
processing subscription status;
maintaining device registrations;
sending service-related notifications;
preventing unauthorized access;
preventing fraud and abuse;
enforcing device or plan limits;
responding to customer-support requests;
maintaining service reliability;
diagnosing technical problems;
meeting legal obligations; and
protecting users and our infrastructure.
7. Apple In-App Purchases
When an Apple user subscribes through the App Store, payment processing is performed by Apple.
Apple may provide Banana VPN with transaction and subscription information required to verify the subscription.
Banana VPN uses this information to associate the purchased entitlement with the applicable account.
Apple's collection and processing of payment information are governed by Apple's own privacy practices and terms.
8. Push Notifications
If you permit notifications, Banana VPN may register a push-notification token associated with your device or installation.
The token is used to deliver service-related notifications.
You can disable notifications through your device settings.
9. Service Providers
We may use service providers to operate infrastructure required to provide Banana VPN, such as:
hosting and cloud providers;
VPN server and data-center providers;
email delivery providers;
customer-support infrastructure;
payment processors;
Apple and other application marketplaces; and
security and infrastructure providers.
Service providers are permitted to process information only for legitimate purposes connected to providing their services to Banana VPN, subject to applicable contractual and legal requirements.
10. Disclosure Required by Law
We may disclose information where we reasonably believe disclosure is required by valid law, legal process, court order, or another binding legal obligation.
We may also process or disclose information when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents, threats to users, or attacks against our infrastructure.
We will not voluntarily sell users' VPN activity to advertisers.
11. Business Transfers
If Banana VPN undergoes a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, or sale of assets, information associated with the Service may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.
Any successor will remain subject to applicable privacy obligations regarding the transferred data.
12. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including providing an active account, maintaining subscriptions, providing support, protecting security, preventing fraud, resolving disputes, and complying with financial or legal obligations.
When information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it.
Some information may remain in backups for a limited period until those backups are overwritten according to normal system operation.
13. Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your Banana VPN account using available account-management functionality or through Banana VPN support.
When an account is deleted, we will delete or de-identify associated personal information unless continued retention is reasonably required by law, financial recordkeeping requirements, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or another legitimate legal obligation.
Deleting your Banana VPN account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store subscription. Apple subscriptions must be managed separately through Apple.
14. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
request access to personal information;
request correction;
request deletion;
receive a portable copy where applicable;
object to certain processing;
restrict certain processing;
withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
complain to an applicable privacy or data-protection authority.
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a privacy request.
15. Security
Banana VPN uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect account information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.
No internet-connected service can guarantee absolute security.
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.
16. International Processing
VPN infrastructure and service providers may operate in multiple countries.
As a result, information may be processed outside your country of residence.
Where required by applicable law, we take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards apply to such transfers.
17. Children's Privacy
Banana VPN is not intended to knowingly collect personal information from children who cannot lawfully consent to the Service without parental authorization.
If we learn that personal information from a child was collected in circumstances where parental consent was legally required but not obtained, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
18. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our products, legal requirements, service providers, or privacy practices change.
The current effective date appears at the top of this policy.
Material changes will be communicated when required by law.
19. Contact and Privacy Requests
